Who We Are

Andrew Noonan Architect is a design studio based in Brisbane, working across Australia.

We create architecture that responds — to people, to place, and to time.

Our work is guided by the belief that buildings are living frameworks — dynamic and responsive, designed to support the changing rhythms of life and place over time.

We take on a wide range of project types — from private homes to public, community and cultural buildings — but approach each one with the same focus: clarity, care, and long-term value. Whether we’re designing for a family or a broader community, we work quietly and intentionally, with deep respect for climate, context and resource.

We design with what’s needed — and make that enough.

That’s where the generosity lies: in not overstating, in not overproducing, and in always making room for life to lead.

We work closely with our clients — listening first, guiding clearly, and collaborating with care. Our process is calm, rigorous and respectful.

Every project is led personally by Andrew Noonan, drawing on more than two decades of experience across Europe, Asia and Australia. The studio was established in 2025 as a return to slower, more intentional architecture — a practice grounded in care, clarity, and enduring value.

We believe the best architecture doesn’t try to impress — it belongs.

Not just in its setting, but in its season, its culture, and the lives unfolding within it.

Establishing Andrew Noonan Architect was a deliberate step toward practice on his own terms — focused on place, led by care, and grounded in the belief that good architecture gives more than it takes.

Now based in Brisbane, Andrew leads each project personally, bringing deep experience and a regenerative mindset to architecture that is as responsive as it is enduring.
